TAX-SHELTER ANNUITIES

As an employee of Southern Westchester BOCES you may contribute part of your pay to a Tax-Shelter Annuity (TSA) under the terms of Section 403(b) of the Internal Revenue Code.  Southern Westchester BOCES does not offer a matching contribution but acts as a liaison for payroll deductions directed to a 403(b) account that you set up for yourself.

OMNI Financial Group is our third-party administrator of 403(b) plans.  They provide information on approved investment providers and ensure compliance with IRS regulations governing the operation of 403(b) plans.

To establish your 403(b) account, follow these steps:

These steps will bring you to the Southern Westchester Plan Page which provides you with a list of approved investment providers with whom you can choose to set up a 403(b) account.  Contact your chosen investment provider directly to establish your investment account and receive investment/asset allocation information.

Once your account has been established, you will need to complete the OMNI Salary Redirection Form (see link below) and return it to OMNI Financial to initiate payroll deductions.  OMNI Financial will validate and approve your new account for compliance and notify the Southern Westchester BOCES Payroll Department when to start taking the appropriate payroll deductions.
